1950 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER DAWN
A pair of front wheel cylinders recently sent in for boring and sleeving. We glass bead the cylinders to remove all rust and then powder coat the outside to prevent further deterioration. We sleeve cylinders in 660 Rotocast Bearing Bronze. I do not think brass is a suitable material to use for sleeving as some shops do, in my opinion it is much too soft. I have redone many cylinders that previously have been done elsewhere in brass that show considerable wear and gouging of the brass. 660 bearing bronze is a much better material to use.
